the book of Esther has a Prophetic application for us in our day. Especially around the time of WW2. The major players in this story represent the major players in the actions of God and Jesus, and the selection of the Bride of Christ.

The Prophetic Book of Esther
I believe the book of Esther has a Prophetic application for us in our day. Especially around the time of WW2. The major players in this story represent the major players in the selection of Jesus Bride as listed below in order of their appearance in the story. Most of the subjects in the book will be shown to have their antitype in either persons or systems gathering themselves together for the great battle of Armageddon. Many times, and dates given will also be shown to have their antitype within the seventh day of rest Genesis 2:2 which most understand is a period of 7000 years. Therefore, when we are given amounts of time in this human drama, we must expect a much shorter period to be a type of the larger. With striking consistency If we merely add zeros to the base number given in the type we will see the antitype. Below is a list of the main characters and their antitypes.
1. Xerxes/Ahasuerus = [God] or (the worship of God).
2. 120 provinces = the nations of Earth toward the end of the holy roman empire.
3. Shushan the palace = Jerusalem, Rome, Babylon the Great.
4. Vashti = [Jewish & Catholic Churches].
5. Mordecai = [Jesus & Faithful Christians after chapter 3].
6. Esther = [Church] – [Bride of Christ].
7. Bigthan and Teresh = [Beast and False Prophet Rev 19:19-20 also Pharisees and Sadducees].
8. Hegai = Holy Spirit.
9. Haman = Satan & Hitler.
Esther 1:1 “This is what happened in the days of Xerxes [God] who reigned over 127 provinces from India to Cush. 2In those days King Xerxes sat on his royal throne in the citadel of Susa [Jerusalem]. 3In the third year of his reign [parts of 3,000 years – 1800 years], Xerxes held a feast [wedding feast Matthew 22:8] for all his officials and servants. The military leaders of Persia and Media were there, along with the nobles and princes of the provinces. 4And for a full 180 days [6 months as in 6000 years ALSO 1800 years (70→1870)] he displayed the glorious riches of his kingdom and the magnificent splendor of his greatness. 5At the end of this time, in the garden court of the royal palace, the king held a seven-day feast [the harvest message] for all the people in the citadel of Susa [Babylon the Great] from the least to the greatest [both good and bad invited to the wedding feast Matt 22:10]. 6Hangings of white and blue linen were fastened with cords of fine white and purple material to silver rings on the marble pillars [riches of Babylon the Great on display Rev 18]. Gold and silver couches were arranged on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl, and other costly stones. 7Beverages were served in an array of goblets of gold, each with a different design, and the royal wine flowed freely, according to the king’s bounty. 8By order of the king, no limit was placed on the drinking, and every official of his household was to serve each man whatever he desired.
10On the seventh day [During the 7th Church] when the king’s heart was merry with wine, he ordered the seven eunuchs [The Catholic church leaders] who served him—Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carkas— 11to bring Queen Vashti [Jewish & Catholic Churches] before him, wearing her royal crown, to display her beauty to the people and officials. For she was beautiful to behold.
12Queen Vashti, however, refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs. And the king became furious, and his anger burned within him. 13Then the king consulted the wise men who knew the times, for it was customary for him to confer with the experts in law and justice. 14His closest advisors were Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan [The 7th messenger], the seven princes [7 messengers to the church] of Persia and Media [Heaven & Earth] who had personal access to the king and ranked highest in the kingdom. 15“According to law,” he asked, “what should be done with Queen Vashti [Jewish and Catholic Churches] since she refused to obey the command of King Xerxes delivered by the eunuchs?” 16And in the presence of the king and his princes, Memucan [Last in the list = last messenger to the church answers for all] replied, “Queen Vashti [Jewish & Catholic Churches] has wronged not only the king, but all the princes and the peoples in all the provinces of King Xerxes. 17For the conduct of the queen will become known to all women, causing them to despise their husbands and say, ‘King Xerxes [God] ordered Queen Vashti to be brought before him, but she did not come.’ 18This very day the noble women of Persia and Media who have heard about the queen’s conduct will say the same thing to all the king’s officials, resulting in much contempt and wrath. 19So if it pleases the king, let him [God] issue a royal decree, and let it be recorded in the laws of Persia and Media so that it cannot be repealed, that Vashti shall never again enter the presence of King Xerxes [bill of divorce Jer.3:8] and that her royal position shall be given to a woman better than she. 20The edict the king issues will be heard throughout his vast kingdom—and so all women, from the least to the greatest, will honor their husbands.”
21The king and his princes were pleased with this counsel; so, the king did as Memucan [last messenger] had advised. 22He sent letters [Harvest Message advice] to all the provinces of the kingdom, to each province in its own script [harvest message printed in all languages] and to each people in their own language, proclaiming that every man should be master of his own household [and not be bundled with the tares].
2: Replacing Vashti
Replace Old Jerusalem and look for New Jerusalem.
Esther 2:1 “Sometime later, when the anger of King Xerxes had subsided, he remembered Vashti and what she had done, and what had been decreed against her. 2Then the king’s attendants proposed, “Let a search be made for beautiful young virgins [5 wise 5 foolish Mat.25:1-13] for the king, 3and let the king appoint commissioners in each province of his kingdom to assemble all the beautiful young women into the harem at the citadel of Susa. Let them be placed under the care of Hegai, the king’s eunuch [the holy spirit] in charge of the women and let them be given beauty treatments [apostles prophets evangelists pastors teachers Eph.4:11 fruit of the spirit Gal.5:22]. 4Then let the young woman who pleases the king become queen in place of Vashti.” [Jewish & Catholic Churches] …This suggestion pleased the king, and he acted accordingly.
Esther Finds Favor
2:5 Now there was at the citadel of Susa a Jewish man from the tribe of Benjamin named Mordecai [Jesus] son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish. 6He had been carried into exile from Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon among those taken captive with Jeconiah king of Judah. 7And Mordecai [Jesus] had brought up Hadassah (that is, Esther), the daughter of his uncle, because she did not have a father or mother [the Church is adopted Rom.9:4 & Eph.1:5]. The young woman was lovely in form and appearance, and when her father and mother [Adam & Eve] had died, Mordecai [Jesus] had adopted her in as his own daughter.
2:8When the king’s command and edict had been proclaimed, many young women gathered at the citadel of Susa under the care of Hegai [the holy spirit]. Esther was also taken to the palace and placed under the care of Hegai, the custodian of the women. 9And the young woman pleased him and obtained his favor, so he quickly provided her with beauty treatments and the special diet [meat in due season]. He assigned to her seven select maidservants [7 messengers to the Church] from the palace and transferred her with them to the best place in the harem. [many called few chosen].
2:10Esther did not reveal her people or her lineage, because Mordecai had instructed her not to do so. [You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the schemes of men. You conceal them in Your shelter from accusing tongues. Psa.31:20] 11And every day Mordecai would walk back and forth [to and fro through the earth Zech.6:7 Jer.17:10] in front of the court of the harem to learn about Esther’s welfare and what was happening to her.
12In the twelve months before her turn to go to King Xerxes, the harem regulation required each young woman to receive beauty treatments with oil of myrrh for six months [1845 years under the law], and then with perfumes and cosmetics for another six months [1845 years under grace]. 13When the young woman would go to the king; she was given whatever she requested to take with her from the harem [The Courtyard] to the king’s palace. 14She would go there in the evening, and in the morning, she would return to a second harem [the holy] under the care of Shaashgaz, the king’s eunuch in charge of the concubines. She would not return to the king unless he delighted in her and summoned her by name [New Name written Rev.2:17].
15Now Esther [the prospective church] was the daughter of Abihail [Adam] the uncle from whom Mordecai [Jesus] had adopted her as his own daughter. And when it was her turn to go to the king, she did not ask for anything except what Hegai [the holy spirit] the king’s trusted official in charge of the harem, had advised. And Esther found favor in the eyes of everyone who saw her. 16She was taken to King Xerxes in the royal palace in the tenth month, the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. [7th stage of the church]
Esther Becomes Queen
17And the king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she found grace and favor in his sight more than all the other virgins.[The Great Company] So, he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti [Marriage of Christ and the Church Rev 14:1-5]. 18Then the king held a great banquet [Harvest Message Rev 14:6-21] Esther’s banquet, for all his officials and servants. He proclaimed a holiday [holiday/release from the works of the law] in the provinces and gave gifts [apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers Eph.4:11] worthy of the king’s bounty.
19When the virgins were assembled a second time [2nd advent] Mordecai [Jesus] was sitting at the king’s gate [place of judgement Dan.7:9]. 20Esther still had not revealed her lineage or her people [had they known they would not… 1Cor.2:8 Mat.11:25] just as Mordecai had instructed. She obeyed Mordecai’s command [If you love me, keep my commands John 14:15] as she had done under his care.
Mordecai Uncovers a Conspiracy
21In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh [Beast and False Prophet] two of the king’s eunuchs who guarded the entrance [Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom Matt 23:13] grew angry and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes [the worship of God]. 22When Mordecai learned of the plot, he reported it to Queen Esther, and she informed the king on Mordecai’s behalf. 23After the report had been investigated and verified; both officials were hanged on the gallows [beast and false prophet cast into lake of fire]. And all this was recorded in the Book of the Chronicles in the presence of the king.
3: Haman’s Plot against the Jews
Again, a new vision of a plot against truth and righteousness. Notice in verse 7 Esther has now been queen for 5 years 3:7 Maybe this scene begins to take place in the 5th stage of the church?
Esther 3:1 “After these events [while the king is away preparing a place for the queen John 14:2], King Xerxes honored Haman [Satan & eventually Hitler] son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, elevating him to a position above all the princes who were with him. 2All the royal servants at the king’s gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman [shall worship the beast Rev.13:7-8] because the king had commanded that this be done for him. But Mordecai [Jewish People] would not bow down or pay homage. 3Then the royal servants at the king’s gate asked Mordecai, “Why do you disobey the command of the king?” 4Day after day they warned him, but he would not comply. So, they reported it to Haman to see whether Mordecai’s behavior would be tolerated, since he had told them he was a Jew.
5When Haman [Satan, beast & Hitler] saw that Mordecai [Jewish People & Christians] would not bow down or pay him homage, he was filled with rage. 6And when he learned the identity of Mordecai’s people, he scorned the notion of laying hands on Mordecai alone. Instead, he sought to destroy all of Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the kingdom [Christendom] of Xerxes.
7In the twelfth year of King Xerxes, [Esther has now been queen for 5 years. Esther 2:16] in the first month, the month of Nisan, the Pur (that is, the lot) was cast before Haman to determine a day and month. And the lot fell on the twelfth month, the month of Adar. [church resurrected 360 years after the 5th stage of the church] 8Then Haman informed King Xerxes, “There are certain people scattered and dispersed among the peoples of every province of your kingdom. Their laws are different from everyone else’s, and they do not obey the king’s laws. So, it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them. 9If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will deposit ten thousand talents of silver into the royal treasury to pay those who carry it out.”
10So the king removed the signet ring from his finger and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews. 11“Keep your money,” said the king to Haman. “These people are given to you to do with them as you please. [Jew’s & Christians given into the beast & Hitler’s hand. Job 1:12]”
12On the thirteenth day of the first month, the royal scribes were summoned, and the order was written exactly as Haman commanded the royal satraps, the governors of each province, and the officials of each people, in the script of each province and the language of every people. It was written in the name of King Xerxes and sealed with the royal signet ring. 13And the letters were sent by couriers to each of the royal provinces with the order to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—and to plunder their possessions on a single day, the thirteenth day of Adar, the twelfth month.
14A copy of the text of the edict was to be issued in every province and published to all the people, so that they would be ready on that day. [this was done to motivate the Jewish people to return to their homeland. First instance of the hunters Jer.16:16] 15The couriers left, spurred on by the king’s command, and the edict was issued in the citadel of Susa. Then the king and Haman [Satan, beast & Hitler] sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was in confusion.
4: Mordecai Appeals to Esther
Esther 4:1 “When Mordecai [Faithful Christians] learned of all that had happened, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes [And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth Rev.11:3] and went out into the middle of the city, wailing loudly and bitterly. 2But he went only as far as the king’s gate because the law prohibited anyone wearing sackcloth [church in the wilderness] from entering that gate. 3In every province to which the king’s command and edict came, there was great mourning among the Jews. They fasted, wept, and lamented, and many lay in sackcloth [Mordecai as the word of God is clothed in sackcloth Rev.11:3] and ashes.
4:4When Esther’s maidens and eunuchs came and told her about Mordecai; the queen was overcome with distress. She sent clothes for Mordecai to wear [Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Isa 40:1] instead of his sackcloth, but he would not accept them [Jews would not convert to Christianity]. 5Then Esther summoned Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs appointed to her, and she dispatched him to Mordecai to learn what was troubling him and why. 6So Hathach went out to Mordecai in the city square in front of the king’s gate, 7and Mordecai told him all that had happened to him, including the exact amount of money that Haman had promised to pay into the royal treasury to destroy the Jews. 8Mordecai also gave Hathach a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for the destruction of the Jews, to show and explain to Esther, urging her to approach the king, implore his favor, and plead before him for her people. 9So Hathach went back and relayed Mordecai’s response to Esther.
4:10Then Esther spoke to Hathach and instructed him to tell Mordecai, 11“All the royal officials and the people of the king’s provinces know that one law applies to every man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned—that he be put to death. Only if the king extends the gold scepter may that person live. But I have not been summoned to appear before the king for the past thirty days. [parts of 3 millennium]”
12When Esther’s words were relayed to Mordecai, 13he sent back to her this reply: “Do not imagine that because you are in the king’s palace you alone will escape the fate of all the Jews. 14For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows if perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” [one of the works of the glorified church is to help in the return of Israel to prominence]
15Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: 16“Go and assemble all the Jews who can be found in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days [parts of 3 millennium] night or day, and I and my maidens will fast [time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; in those days they will fast Luke 5:35] as you do. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish!” 17So Mordecai went and did all that Esther had instructed him.
5: Esther Approaches the King
Esther 5:1 “On the third day [7th millennium], Esther put on her royal attire and stood in the inner court of the palace across from the king’s quarters. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the royal courtroom, facing the entrance. 2As soon as the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she found favor in his sight. The king extended the gold scepter in his hand toward Esther, and she approached and touched the tip of the scepter. 3“What is it, Queen Esther?” the king inquired. “What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given to you.” [promise to sit with the Lord in his throne Rev 3:21]
5:4“If it pleases the king,” Esther replied, “may the king and Haman come today to the banquet I have prepared for the king.” [If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Rom 12:20 Esther is showing her competence in the correct method of taking down her enemy] 5“Hurry,” commanded the king, “and bring Haman, so we can do as Esther has requested.” So, the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared. 6And as they drank their wine, the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It will be given to you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be fulfilled.” 7Esther replied, “This is my petition and my request: 8If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, may the king and Haman come tomorrow to the banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.” [This is the church’s understanding of the double portion: Give back to her as she also has rendered; and pay back double to her, twofold according to her works. In the cup which she has mixed, mix double to her. rev 18:6]
Haman’s Plot against Mordecai
5:9That day Haman went out full of joy and glad of heart. At the king’s gate, however, he saw Mordecai, who did not rise or tremble in fear at his presence. And Haman was filled with rage toward Mordecai. 10Nevertheless, Haman restrained himself and went home. And calling for his friends and his wife Zeresh [Catholic Church] 11Haman recounted to them his glorious wealth [Rev.18:11], his many sons, and all the way the king had honored and promoted him over the other officials and servants. 12“What is more,” Haman added, “Queen Esther invited only me [but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits Dan.11:32] to join the king at the banquet she prepared, and I am invited back tomorrow along with the king. 13Yet none of this satisfies me as long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”
5:14His wife Zeresh and all his friends told him, “Have them build a gallows fifty cubits high, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai hanged on it. [advice like Herodias gave Salome Mark 6:14-27] Then go to the banquet with the king and enjoy yourself.” The advice pleased Haman, and he had the gallows constructed.
6: Mordecai is Honored
Esther 6:1 “That night sleep escaped the king; so, he ordered the Book of Records, the Chronicles, to be brought in and read to him. 2And there it was recorded that Mordecai had exposed Bigthan and Teresh [Beast & False Prophet] two of the eunuchs who guarded the king’s entrance, when they had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. 3The king inquired, “What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this act?” “Nothing has been done for him,” replied the king’s attendants. 4“Who is in the court?” the king asked. Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the palace to ask the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows he had prepared for him. 5So the king’s attendants answered him, “Haman is there, standing in the court.” “Bring him in,” ordered the king. 6Haman entered, and the king asked him, “What should be done for the man whom the king is delighted to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself, “Whom would the king be delighted to honor more than me?” [I will bring their deeds down upon their own heads Eze.9:10]
7And Haman told the king, “For the man whom the king is delighted to honor, 8have them bring a royal robe that the king himself has worn [each of them was given a white robe Rev.6;11] and a horse on which the king himself has ridden—one with a royal crest placed on its head [Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. Rev.3:11]. 9Let the robe and the horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them array the man the king wants to honor and parade him on the horse through the city square, proclaiming before him, ‘This is what is done for the man whom the king is delighted to honor!’” 10“Hurry,” said the king to Haman, “and do just as you proposed. [Behold, I will cause them that they will come and will worship before your feet, and they shall know that I have loved you. Rev.3:9] Take the robe and the horse to Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the king’s gate. Do not neglect anything that you have suggested.” [vengeance is mine, says the Lord. Nobody repays like he does! Ezek.11:21]
6:11So Haman took the robe and the horse, arrayed Mordecai, and paraded him through the city square, crying out before him, “This is what is done for the man whom the king is delighted to honor!” 12Then Mordecai returned to the king’s gate. But Haman rushed home, with his head covered in grief. 13Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened. His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, “Since Mordecai, before whom your downfall has begun, is Jewish, you will not prevail against him—for surely you will fall before him.” 14While they were still speaking with Haman, the king’s eunuchs arrived and rushed him to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
7: Esther Pleads for Her People
Esther 7:1 “So, the king and Haman went to dine with Esther the queen, 2and as they drank their wine on that second day [6th and 7th stages of the Church?], the king asked once more, “Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given to you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be fulfilled.” 3Queen Esther replied, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, grant me my life as my petition, and the lives of my people as my request. 4For my people and I have been sold out to destruction, death, and annihilation. If we had merely been sold as menservants and maidservants, I would have remained silent, because no such distress would justify burdening the king.”
7:5Then King Xerxes spoke up and asked Queen Esther, “Who is this, and where is the one who would devise such a scheme?” 6Esther replied, “The adversary and enemy is this wicked man—Haman!” And Haman stood in terror before the king and queen.
7:7In his fury, the king arose from drinking his wine and went to the palace garden, while Haman stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life, for he realized that the king was planning a terrible fate for him. 8Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, “Would he actually assault the queen while I am in the palace?” As soon as the words had left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face. 9Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said: “There is a gallows fifty cubits high at Haman’s house. He had it built for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” “Hang him on it!” declared the king. 10So they hanged Haman on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. [The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads. PS.7:16] Then the fury of the king subsided.
The Hanging of Haman
8: Esther Appeals for the Jews
Esther 8:1 “That same day King Xerxes awarded Queen Esther the estate of Haman [The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ Rev.11:15] the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai entered the king’s presence because Esther had revealed his relation to her. [He will destroy the covering, which is over all peoples, The veil which is stretched over all nations. Isa.25:7] 2The king removed the signet ring he had recovered from Haman and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed Mordecai over the estate of Haman. [you receive your older and younger sisters (Sodom & Gamora). I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of My covenant with you. Eze.16:61] 3And once again, Esther addressed the king. She fell at his feet weeping and begged him to revoke the evil scheme of Haman the Agagite, which he had devised against the Jews. 4The king extended the gold scepter toward Esther, and she arose and stood before the king.
5“If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if I have found favor in your sight, and the matter seems proper to the king, and I am pleasing in your sight, may an order be written to revoke the letters that the scheming Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces. 6For how could I bear to see the disaster that would befall my people? How could I bear to see the destruction of my kindred?”
8:7So King Xerxes said to Esther the Queen and Mordecai the Jew, “Behold, I have given Haman’s estate to Esther [“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ” Rev 11:15] and he was hanged on the gallows because he attacked the Jews. 8Now you may write in the king’s name as you please regarding the Jews, and seal it with the royal signet ring. For a decree that is written in the name of the king and sealed with the royal signet ring cannot be revoked.” 9At once the royal scribes were summoned, and on the twenty-third day of the third month (the month of Sivan), they recorded all of Mordecai’s orders to the Jews and to the satraps, governors, and princes of the 127 provinces from India to Cush —writing to each province in its own script, to every people in their own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language. 10Mordecai wrote in the name of King Xerxes and sealed it with the royal signet ring. He sent the documents by mounted couriers riding on swift horses bred from the royal mares.
8:11By these letters the king permitted the Jews in each city the right to assemble and defend themselves [This is what the Jewish people got in 1948 when they became a nation again] to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces of any people or province hostile to them, including women and children, and to plunder their possessions. [So, I prophesied as He had commanded me, and the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet—a vast army. Eze 37:10] 12The single day appointed throughout all the provinces of King Xerxes was the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar. 13A copy of the text of the edict was to be issued in every province and published to all the people, so that the Jews would be ready on that day to avenge themselves on their enemies. 14The couriers rode out in haste on their royal horses, pressed on by the command of the king. And the edict was also issued in the citadel of Susa. 15Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal garments of blue and white, with a large gold crown and a purple robe of fine linen. And the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced.
16For the Jews it was a time of light and gladness, of joy and honor. 17In every province and every city, wherever the king’s edict and decree reached, there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with feasting and celebrating. And many of the people of the land themselves became Jews because the fear of the Jews had fallen upon them. [This is what the LORD Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’” Zech 8:23]

Looking at the literal fall of Babylon when Cyrus took it, Cyrus (representing our Lord) released the Jewish people from their captivity, telling them that they could, (and should) go home and rebuild their temple: see Ezra 1. They were slow in returning to their homeland, and so the Lord raised up Haman, written about in the book of Esther (Esther 3), to drive the Jewish people back to their homeland. In the same way, and following the same period of time about 65 years from their release in 1878 when the Lord allowed the Jewish people to return to their homeland, but they were slow to return by just the word of the fishers. Therefore, the Lord raised up persecutions and finally Hitler to drive the Jewish people back to their homeland. This was foretold to happen in Jeremiah 16 written in such a way as could be applied to both captivities; as stated Jeremiah 16:16 “Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters [Haman & Hitler], and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.”
Notice what Simon Peter states in Acts 15:14-18, “Simon has described to us how God has intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 15The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written: 16‘After this [after he takes from the Gentiles a people for his name] I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tabernacle. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, 17that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things’— 18things known from long ago.” Peter is citing from Amos 9:11 continuing there from verse 13-15 it states, “Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed [in WW1 & WW2 the world began to be plowed and trodden]; “and the mountains shall drop sweet wine” [as we can read in the UN Charter. Wine = Doctrine Matthew 9:17 note wine is made by treading grapes], and all the hills shall melt [Islands-Colonialism having fled away and mountains not found-Rev.16:20 only hills left]. 14And I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel [Israel was reborn in 1948 as a result of the U.N.], “and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the LORD thy God.” Notice the chain of events: Plowman begins and eventually overtakes the reaper, and treader of grapes overtakes him that sows seed, i.e., WW1 & 2 began the plowing and the treading of grapes. After the plowman and treader of grapes, the mountains drop sweet wine even as we read in the United Nations Charter. This sweet wine allowed the nation of Israel to be reborn. After which the Lord plants the nation of Israel upon their own land as affected by the UN in 1948. Who can doubt that much of this has effectively been brought to pass? But is it completed? I think not. This is a worldwide picture and though it is a list and order of events, and I see that the plowman began to plow and treader of grapes began to tread in WW1 & 2, then the mountains began to drop sweet wine and the captivity of Israel began to be returned in 1948, yet it is not completed. It will be completed when finally, Israel recognizes Jesus as their Messiah. Note the language of: Luke 21:29 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.”
Though the United Nations created Israel, it has been antagonistic towards it since. Why is that? According to Judges 3:1-6, the Lord used the nations that Israel did not drive out of the land to test Israel’s faithfulness and to teach them war. Notice Jeremiah 51:19-25 “The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name. 20Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; 21And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; 22With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; 23I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
Zechariah 12:2-8 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth will be gathered against it. 4In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: [He will make the horses-doctrines that the people believe in to look silly] and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. [And because of this…] 5And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. 6In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. [This refers to the 6-day war in 1967] 7The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. 8In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.”
