My Journey
For over five decades, I’ve delved deeply into the book of Revelation with leading Bible Student Scholars, uncovering its message of God’s love. You will find many Links in my articles as I attempt to make "Full Proof of my Ministry"
This website is intended for those of the seventh stage of the church who have heard the message of Charles Russell who was sent by the Lord to blow the 7th trumpet. Those who have heard his message have been so enthralled by it that they generally believe the Lord has nothing more to say or to be understood from Him. They think that they are rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing else because they have been taught by the 7th messenger who was put in charge of "all his possessions". This is the reason the Lord “spews out” the seventh stage of the church as they do not continue to listen to Jesus and go beyond the writings of the Pastor. With this kind of attitude their Crowns get taken from them and given to others more qualified. The Lord is looking for those who as stated by Elijah in 2 kings 2:10 “You have requested (a double portion of your spirit) a difficult thing, Nevertheless, if you see me as I am taken from you, it will be yours. But if not, then it will not be so.” Elijah is a representation Charles Russell in this picture, and He went up in the middle of the Whirl Wind of WW1.
In contrast the sixth stage of the church notably received no rebuke. Martin Luther served as its messenger, introducing the lost doctrine of justification by faith in the authority of scripture. This conviction drove him to study the scriptures thoroughly, a practice encouraged amongst his followers as well. Their commitment led them to surpass the initial teachings provided by their messenger, ultimately sparking the significant movement known as the Reformation. The Lord expressed approval of this church, withholding any rebuke. In contrast, the seventh stage of the church has faced challenges in advancing beyond the teachings of its Messenger.
Charles Russell understood that in 1874 the Lord had returned and that the harvest of the end of the age was to be 40 years ending in 1914, which would see the destruction of Christendom. Many think he was not correct, because we are still here. In fact, history shows that he was correct. No country today has Christianity as a clergy-led state religion. Before 1914, European Christendom governed 84% of the world's land area. Today, the only truly church state governments remaining in the world are Muslim. And their takedown has begun as they are fighting against what the Lord is setting up to be the leading government of the next age, →Jerusalem←.
Charles Russell in his day loved the study of the Lord's appearing. He thought that the Lord was going to appear and set up his kingdom in 1914. Only his understanding of what was to occur was inaccurate; 1914 did not witness the anticipated appearance of the Lord, but it did see the beginning of the destruction of this world's Christian Church-State systems. Since that time, several instances have occurred in which individuals anticipating his "appearance" have established specific dates. To this point those also have been incorrect. As a result, continuing looking for a date of his “appearing” is greatly discouraged amongst the brethren. I lived through the time period when those dates were set, and I found beforehand their arguments to be at best extremely flimsy and was not in the least surprised when nothing happened.
Before Russell, in the early 1800’s there was a movement of brethren looking for the Lord to appear in 1843-1844. This movement was led by a preacher named William Miller. He based this on his understanding of the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 “He said to me, “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be properly restored.” The date that Miller figured out was not incorrect. What both he and Russell lacked was a spiritual understanding of what was happening in the heavens above. (On the other side of the veil.)
There are three time periods that Daniel the 12th chapter speaks about. These three time periods are the 1260, 1290 and 1335 days/years. Understanding the starting point of these three time periods is critical to understanding what they represent. Charles Russell was able to build upon these three periods, which the Adventists movement of the early 1800’s labored to understand. He found that the time of counting began when Justinian the Roman emperor in 539 reconquered Rome (which had fallen in 476) for the empire and set up Papacy to be the head of government again in the city of Rome in 539. This fulfilled the setting up of the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel and referred to by Jesus. At this point the Church was told to flee into the wilderness, also spoken about in Revelation 12:14. These scriptures refer to the 1260 years that the Church spent in the wilderness due to the suppression of truth by Papacy. Satan used Papacy to suppress speaking the truth about what the scriptures say, especially about the Beast and its Image.
The 1260 years (starting in 539 and ending in 1799) saw the truth about the Beast and its Image contained in the scriptures suppressed by the Papacy at the end of a sword, and under threat of being burned at the stake. French General Louis-Alexandre Berthier (chief of staff to Napoleon Bonaparte) entered Rome on February 20, 1798, and declared the Papal States (the image of the beast) abolished, arrested Pope Pius VI, who was then taken into exile where He died in captivity in August 1799 in Valence, France.
On July 6th, 1819, Napoleon annexed the remaining Papal States →[The Image of the Beast]← ordered the arrest of Pope Pius VII, and the pope was dragged from Rome and held prisoner in Savona, France. He remained captive until 1814, when Napoleon fell. These were the beginnings of our Lord’s Judgement against the rulers of this world for the crime of suppressing the truth about what the scriptures teach.
The 1290 years (starting in 539 and ending in 1829) as stated in Daniel 12:11 is a date upon which a number of significant religious developments occurred. In the year 1829 and those around it historians consistently treat as a major turning point in the religious landscape of the English‑speaking world. The Repeal of the Test and Corporation Acts (1828) & Catholic Emancipation (1829) were Major Religious Events. These reforms:
Broke the old Anglican‑dominated religious order.
Empowered Dissenters—many of whom were already revival‑minded and prophecy‑focused.
Heightened Protestant–Catholic tensions, which many interpreted through Daniel and Revelation.
Created the social and legal environment in which Adventist, premillennial, and restorationist movements could flourish in the 1830s–1840s.
In other words, the religious freedom shockwave of 1828–1829 set the stage for the prophetic ferment that followed.
Parliament abolished the laws that had, since the 1600s, barred Protestant Dissenters (Baptists, Congregationalists, Methodists, etc.) from holding public office. These Acts had required officeholders to take Anglican communion—effectively enforcing Anglican supremacy. These two back‑to‑back reforms radically reshaped the religious and political order of Britain, ending centuries of legal discrimination and opening the door to new religious movements, publishing freedoms, and sparking theological debates. This led the way for William Miller to begin teaching his understanding of the 2300 days/years of Daniel 8:14 “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be properly restored.” Miller was able to look back upon the historic records and calculated the timing of this to begin in 1843-44. This woke up many to the study of prophecy.
But the failure of Miller's expectation after 1844, caused most of Christendom to fall back asleep as described in the parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. Also: depicted by the Shulammite woman in Song of Solomon 5:2-16.
In September 1822, Miller formally stated his conclusions in a twenty-point document, including article 15: "I believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ is near, even at the door, even within twenty-one years, – on or before 1843." Miller did not, however, begin his public lecturing until the first Sunday in August 1831.

William Miller was correct about the 1843-1844 date. Only what he expected to happen on that date was incorrect. With the increase of knowledge and understanding of the scriptures that we now have, we are able to more clearly understand what was going on in the heavens above at that time.
